Dubai RTA Will Launch 4 Updated Metro Link Bus Routes. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has announced the launch of four new metro link bus routes and the enhancement of several existing routes, including one Intercity Route, starting from August 30. These changes aim to improve the daily commuting experience for passengers, allowing them to reach their destinations more efficiently across the Emirate.
New Metro Link Bus Routes
As part of this initiative, the RTA will replace the existing Route 31 with two new routes, F39 and F40. These routes are designed to better serve specific areas and improve the overall transit experience.
- Route F39: This new route will operate from Etisalat Bus Station to Oud Al Muteena Roundabout Bus Stop 1 and back. The service will run with a frequency of 30 minutes, ensuring that passengers have regular and reliable transportation options.
- Route F40: Running from Etisalat Bus Station to Mirdif, Street 78, and back, Route F40 will also have a 30-minute frequency, providing consistent service to commuters in these areas.
Replacement Of Route F56 With F58 And F59
To further optimize the transportation network, the RTA is replacing Route F56 with two new routes: F58 and F59.
- Route F58: This route will run northward from Al Khail Metro Station to Dubai Internet City and back, operating at a 30-minute frequency. It is designed to cater to the needs of professionals and students commuting to and from the tech hub of Dubai Internet City.
- Route F59: Also operating with a 30-minute frequency, Route F59 will connect Dubai Internet City Metro Station to Dubai Knowledge Village and back, facilitating easy access to one of the key educational and research areas in the city.
Renaming And Splitting Of Route 21
To simplify route identification and improve service coverage, the existing Route 21 will be renamed and split into two distinct routes: 21A and 21B.
- Route 21A: This route will start from Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1 and head towards Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, offering a direct and convenient connection between these two locations.
- Route 21B: Operating in the opposite direction, Route 21B will connect Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1, providing an equally reliable service for passengers traveling between these points.
Merging And Adjustment Of Existing Routes
In addition to the introduction of new routes, the RTA will merge and adjust several existing routes to enhance the efficiency and coverage of the public transportation network.
- Merging of Routes 61D and 66: Route 61D will be merged with Route 66 to streamline services and improve connectivity for passengers.
- Merging of Routes 95 and 95A: Similarly, Route 95 will be merged with Route 95A, resulting in a unified Route 95A. This adjustment will allow users of the former Route 95 to connect seamlessly with Route X92.
- Route 6 Adjustment: The path of Route 6 will be shortened to run only from the Bus Stop at Oud Metha Metro Station to Dubai Healthcare City, following the cancellation of the sector from Al Ghubaiba Station to Oud Metha.
- Route 95A Adjustment: Route 95A will be adjusted to start from Veneto, Jebel Ali Waterfront, to Parco Hypermarket, covering the Jebel Ali Industrial Area. This change ensures that passengers in this industrial zone have improved access to public transportation.
- Route 99 Modification: Route 99 will be modified to cover JAFZA One, enhancing connectivity in the Jebel Ali Free Zone area.
- Route F31 Adjustment: The route for F31 will be adjusted to include new stops in The Greens, offering more convenient access to residents in this community.
- Route F45 Adjustment: New stops will be added in Al Furjan for Route F45, while the JAFZA One stop will be removed from Route F54.
- Intercity Route E700 Adjustment: The starting point for intercity Route E700 will be moved from Union Bus Station to Etisalat Bus Station, providing a more direct connection to Fujairah.
