Abu Dhabi Police Survey- Resident Top Priority is Road Safety

Abu Dhabi Police Survey. Road safety has emerged as the leading concern for residents in Abu Dhabi, according to a recent public opinion survey conducted by Abu Dhabi Police. The survey, which was available in both Arabic and English, aimed to identify the types of “digital content” that the community prefers from the police force social media platforms in 2024.

The results highlighted that road safety remains a key issue, with traffic awareness content being of particular interest to the public.

Survey Results: Road Safety Dominates Public Interest

The survey conducted by Abu Dhabi Police found that Instagram is the preferred social media platform for accessing updates and awareness messages related to road safety. The public strong engagement with Abu Dhabi Police digital content underscores the importance of traffic-related topics, including driver safety, road regulations, and the consequences of unsafe driving practices.

Brigadier General Mohammed Ali Al Muhairi, Director of the Security Media Department at the Leadership Affairs Sector, stated that the results reflect the growing concern among residents about road safety. He emphasized that the police force regular surveys are part of a broader strategy to ensure its content is aligned with the interests of the community.

Al Muhairi noted that Abu Dhabi Police commitment to delivering daily content through social media plays a vital role in raising public awareness on traffic rules, encouraging positive road behavior, and reducing traffic violations.

Enhancing Road Safety Awareness Through Social Media

Abu Dhabi Police social media platforms are a key component of its efforts to promote road safety. Brigadier General Al Muhairi pointed out that the force operates round-the-clock media channels, offering timely news, proactive warnings, and safety messages related to road emergencies. These initiatives are designed to inform and engage the public, encouraging safer driving habits and ensuring the well-being of all road users.

Lieutenant Colonel Khalifa Abdullah Al Obaidli, Director of the Social Media Centre at the Security Media Department, shared that the survey results reaffirm the importance of Instagram as the top platform for distributing Abu Dhabi Police’s media content. Following Instagram, X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook were also identified as popular channels for engaging with the police force’s messages.

The Social Media Centre, in collaboration with the Security Media Department, produces high-quality content such as news updates, reports, interviews, and awareness videos. These materials are crafted by skilled Emirati teams who ensure that the messages are both relevant and professionally delivered. The police force is dedicated to staying ahead of current events and using these platforms to inform, educate, and raise awareness about key issues, particularly road safety.

Conclusion

The results of the public opinion survey emphasize that the community values timely, informative, and engaging content from Abu Dhabi Police, especially related to road safety. As part of its ongoing mission, the police force will continue to focus on providing vital traffic information, safety tips, and emergency updates to its followers.

Through these efforts, Abu Dhabi Police is working to ensure safer roads and a more informed, proactive public.
