RTA and Careem Bike Provide Free Bikes For Dubai Ride Participants. As part of Dubai commitment to promoting a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle, Careem Bike, in partnership with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), is providing free bike rentals for residents and tourists participating in the Dubai Ride. This initiative aligns with the Dubai 30×30 challenge, inspiring the community to adopt active and sustainable transportation options.

Free Bike Rentals for Dubai Ride | Locations and Details

Participants can enjoy complimentary bike rentals from Careem Bike special pop-up stations located at Entrance A: Museum of the Future (MOTF), Trade Center Street, and Entrance E: Lower FCS, Financial Center Road. By using code DR24 on the one-day pass, participants can unlock bikes free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Alternatively, participants can access any of the 197 Careem Bike stations located throughout Dubai for added convenience.

This year, the initiative is running on November 10th, 2024, from 2:00 am to 8:00 am, allowing participants to fully enjoy the early morning ride. Cyclists are encouraged to bring their own helmets, and bike rental charges beyond the complimentary 45-minute ride time will be waived for the event, eliminating any additional costs.

RTA and Careem Bike | A Vision for a Healthier, Sustainable Dubai

Sami Amin, Senior Director of Operations at Careem, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “We’re thrilled to support RTA mission to enhance the Dubai Ride experience for residents and tourists again this year. By providing free bike rentals, we’re making it easier than ever for everyone to take part in this event, whether or not they have their own bike.”

Similarly, Abdulrahman Mohammad Aljanahi, Director of Roads Right of Way at RTA, highlighted Dubai’s efforts to promote cycling as an accessible and sustainable form of transportation. The Dubai Ride aligns with Dubai’s 30×30 challenge, encouraging both residents and tourists to embrace active lifestyles and support Dubai’s vision of becoming a bicycle-friendly city.

How to Use Careem Bike for Dubai Ride

To make the most of this opportunity, participants can download the Careem app, select the ‘Bike’ icon, and subscribe to the one-day pass using the DR24 code to access a free rental from 2:00 am to 8:00 am. Available on a first-come, first-served basis, bikes can be picked up at designated pop-up stations or rented from Careem’s extensive network of stations across Dubai.

To register for Dubai Ride, participants must also sign up on the official event website. While card details may be requested for security purposes, no charges will be applied for rentals during the event.

Dubai Ride | A Route Through the Heart of the City

Starting at 5:00 am, the Dubai Ride routes will open to the public, allowing cyclists to kick off their journey at 6:15 am and complete the route by 8:00 am. This scenic event encourages both beginners and seasoned cyclists to pedal their way through some of Dubai’s most iconic locations, making it a memorable experience for all involved.
